Albina Vision Trust engaged Black Bald Films to document the history, community and future of Portland’s Lower Albina neighborhood—a place shaped by Black culture, displacement and an ongoing vision for renewal.
Our contribution
Black Bald Films produced the Albina series, with Dru Holley as a producer. The collaboration balanced historical responsibility, community perspectives and client feedback while protecting the craft of the films.
The work in the world
The series received a Northwest Regional Emmy and is available through OPB and PBS.
“Throughout the lifecycle of any particular project, I have appreciated Black Bald Films’ ability to protect artistic craft while meeting client needs.”
